Adopt A Backpack Buddy
Every weekend there are children that go home hungry. The Adopt a Backpack Buddy Program was created in partnership with the Chester County Food Bank to meet the needs of hungry children at times when other resources are not available, such as weekends. Good nutrition over the weekend helps children return to school on Monday morning feeling good and ready to learn, instead of feeling sick, weak and unable to concentrate. By adopting a Backpack Buddy, you personally help by giving these students a chance for a brighter future.

Here’s How the Program Works…

What is Operation Warm?
Since 1998, Operation Warm has distributed more than 800,000 new winter coats to children living in poverty throughout the United States with concentration in the Delaware Valley, Operation Warm’s birthplace. The new winter coats are distributed to children in major geographic regions including the states of Pennsylvania and Delaware, with coordinated urban efforts in Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, New York City, and Minneapolis.
Operation Warm identifies, selects and distributes through strategic community partners that are high impact, leadership organizations working with their city’s neediest populations to address issues including quality education, access to healthcare, after-school support, and family sustainability. Operation Warm is headquartered in Chadds Ford, PA where the staff embraces the mission and vision to change the lives of children. In 2002 Operation Warm became a 501(c)(3).
